A Fairplay deposit made through UPI isn't a card payment or a top-up held somewhere in between. It's a direct transfer between your bank account and Fairplay's, and the QR code or payment link on the deposit screen is just a shortcut for pointing that transfer at the right account.

Why it settles almost instantly

UPI moves money bank to bank in real time, which is why a Fairplay deposit usually shows up in the wallet within a couple of minutes rather than the hours an older transfer method might take. The wallet balance only updates once the transfer has actually completed on the banking side, not the moment the payment screen is opened.

Where the UTR actually comes from

• Enter or confirm the amount on the deposit screen and complete the payment in your UPI app.
• The UTR, a reference number for that specific transfer, is generated by the banking system itself once the payment goes through, not by Fairplay.
• Screenshot the confirmation and note the UTR. It's the one detail that actually identifies your transfer if anything needs tracing later.
• The wallet balance updates shortly after, usually within a few minutes of the transfer completing.

This is worth understanding because it explains why Fairplay support always asks for the UTR first. They aren't asking you to prove the payment happened; that number is what lets them locate the exact transfer in the banking system.

When a deposit looks stuck

If the money has left your bank account but the wallet hasn't updated, the transfer itself has usually gone through and what's lagging is the confirmation reaching Fairplay's side. Sending a second deposit at that point doesn't fix anything; it just means two transfers to track instead of one. Message WhatsApp support with the UTR and let them locate the original payment.
